Summary:
Decedent had ran over his girlfriend with his vehicle before going to his parents home located at 3525
Wedgworth Rd. S. The decedents parents called the police when he arrived at their home because he was in
a manic state and they did not want to let him inside. The decedent broke into the home through a patio/sun
room in the back of the house. Dispatched officers were unaware of the hit and run incident that happened
earlier. Officers arrived and saw the decedent sitting in a chair inside the residence. Officers saw that the
decedent was holding a machete and when one of the officers attempted to transition to a non-lethal option
the decedent charged at the officers with the machete raised up. Both officers fired their handguns, striking
