Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On January 5, 2024, Hays County Patrol Deputies responded to a physical disturbance call at 151 Hunter Creek Cove, Buda, Texas. The caller reported that a known male subject was banging on the front door and Custodial Death Report :: Page 6 of 7 --- PAGE BREAK --- was armed with two knives. When deputies arrived, they located the suspect, who approached them holding a knife in each hand. Deputies issued multiple loud commands for the suspect to drop the knives, deputies received no compliance from the suspect as he continued advancing toward them. In response to the threat, two deputies discharged their firearms, striking the suspect. The suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene. Custodial Death Report :: Page 7 of 7
