Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On Sunday, May10,2026, 5:19 PM, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Police Sergeant and Officers, wearing a distinct DART police uniform, checked by on a suspicious person call, where a black male with a blue puffer jacket looked to have a large gun, at the DART Victory Station, 2525 Victory Ave, Dallas, Dallas County TX 75202. DART Officers arrived on scene, advised the black male was resisting and was in the Right of Way heading toward the Houston Grade Crossing. Officers were looking to see where the suspect was laying down. Officer noticed a black male on the other side of the group running south toward the end of the Victory Station platform. Officer advised dispatch that the subject was running and began chasing in the direction of the subject. At the end of the platform, Officer noticed the subject had entered a drainage culvert in between the TRE tracks and DART LRT tracks. Officer advised he observed a black male watching, on the west side of the tracks, under the 35E interstate Highway, and advised units to be aware. Officers advised the subject turned and pointed the firearm at the direction of officers. Officer responded by discharging their weapons. Officer announced he had hands when he saw a male down and immobilized. Officer ran up and moved a black AR style weapon lying next to the male and handcuffed him with the assistance of another officer. Officer pulled the male from the water and started looking for gunshot wounds.
