Yes, mark which Under Restraint: restraint devices were used Type of restraint Type of Restraint: Handcuffs Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On 6/30/2019, at approximately 10:00pm, officers were dispatched to 4800 Live Oak Street regarding an intoxicated male. On officer’s arrival, Subject Segovia was being treated at the location by DFR Engine 8. DFR medically cleared the subject but stated he was intoxicated. The subject was placed into police custody for outstanding city warrants and transported to CDC. The subject was booked into CDC and placed into a holding tank. At approximately 6:00am CDC personnel checked on the subject and found him non-responsive and called DFD to the location. DFD transported the subject to Baylor hospital on July 1, 2019. The subject received medical treatment at the hospital and ultimately expired on July 7, 2019. The subject will be transported to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed. Body worn camera video and video from CDC has been collected and is being reviewed.
