Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On November 8, 2025, Dallas Police Department arrest Jessica Patricia Alvarez W/F 05/15/1987 (Decedent) and booked her into Dallas County Jail for charges of Violation of Bond/Protective Order (M2560765) and Criminal Mischief >$100<$750 (M2560766). On November 17, 2025, at approximately 7:02pm, the Decedent was discovered unresponsive on her bunk during face-to-face inmate wellness checks. At approximately 7:12pm, Dallas Fire & Rescue arrived at the jail and departed with the Decedent to Parkland Memorial Hospital (PMH) for medical treatment at 7:33pm. At approximately 8:01pm, PMH Dr. K. Dotson pronounced Alvarez, Jessica deceased. The Decedent's Son and parents were notified of the death. On November 18, 2025, Dallas County Medical Examiner D. Lenfest, MD conducted an autopsy on the Decedent. Autopsy and cause of decedent are available. Based on the case history and autopsy findings, it is the opinion of Dr. Stephen Lenfest that Jessica Patricia Alvarez, 38-year-old female, died as a result of the toxic effects of fentanyl ("fentanyl toxicity").
