Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On 02/06/2025, at about 1022 hours, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) responded to the decedent's address for a suicide threat. The decedent resided at his address with his wife. The decedent's wife had placed a call to the BCSO, and the decedent called the suicide hotline. Subsequently, BCSO deputies arrived at the decedent's residence and made contact with the decedent's wife outside the residence. The decedent's wife stated the decedent had placed a gun to his head, he told her he was going to commit suicide, and requested she call 9-1-1. At one point, a BCSO deputy, who had arrived, attempted to make contact with the decedent via his public address speaker several times. While doing so, a BCSO deputy heard what he believed to be a single gunshot emanating from inside the decedent's residence. Thereafter, entry was made into the decedent's residence through the utilization of a robot; the decedent was discovered deceased atop a bed. Upon further investigation, it was apparent the decedent suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The decedent was pronounced deceased at approximately 1216 hours on 02/06/2025.
