Inmate Whited was pronounced deceased by attending physician Dr. M. Davis at 1005 hrs. Inmate Whited, a white female, 42 years of age was in custody of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for (1) Escape, and (2) Criminal Mischief with a (1) $2000 and (2) $1000 bonds assigned to Harris County Criminal Court #5. • Note: On Monday, January 14, 2019 @ app. 2014 hrs. Inmate was granted a PTRB and released from custody. The following is a synopsis of the death of Inmate : • On Saturday, January 12, 2019 Inmate Tracy Whited was booked into the Harris County Jail for (1) Escape and (2) Criminal Mischief. • On Monday, January 14, 2019 @ app. 0725 hrs. Staff performed a visual observation of cellblock 4H1. An inmate advised Inmate Whited was attempting to harm herself. • On Monday, January 14, 2019 @ app. 0727 hrs. staff attempted to remove a sheet that was fastened around Inmate Whited’ s neck and an upper bunk. Staff removed the sheet using a cut down tool and began CPR. • On Monday, January 14, 2019 @ app. 0736 hrs. Inmate Whited was transported to the Clinic at 1200 Baker St with CPR in progress. • On Monday, January 14, 2019 @ app. 0744 hrs. Houston Fire Department arrived on scene in the Clinic. • On Monday, January 14, 2019 @ app. 0751 hrs. Inmate Whited was transported by Houston Fire Department to Ben Taub Hospital. • On Monday, January 14, 2019 @ app. 2014 hrs. Inmate was granted a PTRB and released from custody. • On Wednesday, January 16, 2019 (1005 hrs.) – Inmate Whited was pronounced deceased by attending physician Dr. M. Davis.
