Inmate Barich stood up for shift change and her body quickly tensed up and another inmate assisted her to the bunk. Officers were present to assist her including medical staff. CPR and a AED was started and continued until cleared by EMS. Inmate Barich was transported to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center.
