Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On December 25, 2018, Stacy Ranard Wright was arrested by Plano Police Department for outstanding warrants issued by Denton County and the City of Dallas. Mr. Wright was booked into the Plano City Jail at approximately 2:49AM. (Note: The medical paperwork inventoried by Plano Police Department during Mr. Wright’s arrest, indicated that prior to being arrested, Mr. Wright received medical care from Texas Health Plano on December 24, 2018 and was released on December 25, 2018, at approximately 2:09AM.) On December 25, 2018, at approximately 1:15PM, Mr. Wright was booked into the Collin County Jail as a transfer from Plano City Jail. On December 28, 2018, Mr. Wright was transported to the Denton County Jail. Mr. Wright was booked into the Denton County Jail at approximately 3:01PM. On December 29, 2018, Mr. Wright was seen by Denton County Jail Health. Mr. Wright complained of shortness of breath and abdominal pain. At approximately 11:45AM, Mr. Wright was transported by detention staff to Medical City of Denton for further assessment. On December 29, 2018, at approximately 5:45PM, Mr. Wright returned from Medical City of Denton and was housed in A-2-C medical cell in the Main Jail facility. On December 30, 2018, at approximately 8:11AM, Mr. Wright was discovered unresponsive by detention staff. Life saving measures were performed by detention staff, Denton County Jail Health staff and Denton Fire and EMS personnel. Denton Fire and EMS personnel continued life saving measures until the directing Custodial Death Report :: Page 6 of 7 --- PAGE BREAK --- physician for Denton Fire and EMS declared the inmate deceased at approximately 8:40 A.M.
