Summary:
On Thursday, May 19, 2022, at approximately 10:30 pm, the Pasadena Police
Department’s Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force attempted to serve a felony
warrant in the 2600 block of Repsdorph Road in Seabrook, Texas. The fugitive, who
has been identified as, 35-year-old Samuel Frias, was wanted in connection with a
felony aggravated assault – domestic violence case that occurred on February 21, 2022,
in Pasadena. This same suspect was also a person of interest in a homicide that
occurred earlier this month in Pasadena.
Our investigators located the suspect in a parking lot, and when they approached, he

fled on foot, and the officers gave chase. During this foot pursuit, the suspect displayed
a handgun, and the officers immediately began giving verbal commands to him to drop
the weapon; however, he ignored their instructions. The officers discharged their
weapons, striking the suspect, and he was later pronounced deceased at the scene. No
other citizens or officers were hurt as a result of the shooting.
