Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On Wednesday, October 19, 2016, Inmate Ricky Hall SPN 00938494 died in custody at Ben Taub Hospital located at 1504 Ben Taub Loop, in the City of Houston, Texas, 77030. Inmate Hall was pronounced deceased by attending physician Christopher Taylor at 1938 hours. Inmate Hall, a White male, 46 years of age, had been in the custody of the Harris County Sheriff's Office since his arrest for Robbery-Threats, Forgery, Credit/Debit Card Abuse, and Motion to Revoke Parole with $0 bond on September 30, 2016. Case #081603862737, #152547001010, #152546401010, #152138601010 assigned to Board of Pardons and Parole and 232 District Court. The Following is a synopsis of the death of Inmate Hall: • September 30, 2016, Inmate Hall was processed into the Harris County Jail for Motion to Revoke Parole, Robbery-Threats, Forgery, and Credit/Debit Card Abuse, with $0 bond. • October 01, 2016, at approximately 0530 hours, Inmate Hall was transported by K&K Ambulance under the escort of Deputy Banks to Ben Taub Hospital located at 1504 Ben Taub Loop, Houston, TX 77030, due to Custodial Death Report :: Page 6 of 7 --- PAGE BREAK --- head trauma. • October 06, 2016, Inmate Hall sustained multiple gunshots wounds as a result of an altercation in Ben Taub Hospital (Harris County Sheriff's Office Case #HC16-0159752). • October 19, 2016, at approximately 1938 hours, Sergeant J. Lowry was notified by Hospital Security Deputy R. Jones that Inmate Hall was pronounced deceased by Attending Physician Taylor. The notification of the death of Inmate Hall was made to Medical Ops, 1200 Clinic, Classification, Central Records, Chaplains Office, Communications, Homicide, OIG, CSU of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
