Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On March 10, 2022, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Trooper Erik Zani and deputies with the Brazos County Sheriff's Office responded to disturbance at 1427 Stokes Circle, College Station, Texas. A neighbor had called 911 to report that two men were fighting in the roadway and one had a gun. Upon arrival, the officers encountered Randall Lee Isbell who possessed a handgun in his waistband. Isbell Custodial Death Report :: Page 6 of 7 --- PAGE BREAK --- began to approach the officers when the handgun fell out of his waistband and onto the ground. The officers instructed Isbell to not touch the weapon, but Isbell ignored these commands and threatened to retrieve another weapon. Isbell reached down, retrieved the gun, and began to raise it at the officers. In response, Trooper Zani fired at Isbell. The officers approached the residence searching for an occupants. They found two deceased man and woman whom Isbell had apparently shot. After the scene was secure, Isbell was pronounced deceased. Custodial Death Report :: Page 7 of 7
