Inmate Peggy Wentworth had not gotten up . He called into the cell for her to get up for breakfast. Inmate Lisa Robinson, went to wake inmate Wentworth up, and discovered that she was not breathing. Inmate Robinson, called into the control room and advised Tillery that inmate Wentworth was not breathing. All available officers were called to A-6. Officer Cunningham, and Donahoo arrived at A-6. Officer Kline arrived and both tried to wake inmate Wentworth and checked for a pulse. The other inmates were removed from the cell. Officer Tillery, Cunningham, and Wallace all performed CPR on inmate, until EMS and fire-rescue arrived. EMS called the death at 0503. The Texas Ranger was called and arrived shortly after 0503 and Wentworth was sent to Lubbock, Tx for an autopsy. The death is still being investigated.
