Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On April 14, 2024, Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies initiated a Traffic Stop on a vehicle being operated by the decedent. The decedent stopped and refused to identify himself and exit the vehicle. After some time, the decedent made the decision to flee the scene in his vehicle, and a pursuit ensued. A short time later, the decedent crashed in the center median on the roadway and ran from deputies. The decedent fired a handgun towards deputies, who returned fire. The decedent was struck and fell to the ground. Paramedics arrived and determined the decedent had no signs of life.
