The reporting party advised a male attempted to steal a vehicle and was pulled out by the vehicle owner. Arriving deputies were advised the suspect was seen near a gas station parking lot. Deputies located the suspect on his knees on the roadway and detained him in handcuffs. As deputies escorted the suspect off the roadway, the suspect had a medical episode, and EMS was requested. The suspect became unresponsive and CPR was started as EMS paramedics arrived. Paramedics transported the suspect to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased by a medical doctor.
