Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters)
Summary:
On May 6th, 2026, at approximately 15:45pm Ellis County Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies were dispatched to
118 Carol Ln. Red Oak Texas in reference to a disturbance with reported shots that had been fired and one in
which the suspect had possibly shot himself. When the first Deputy arrived on scene, he encountered the
suspect at the rear of the residence and observed he was holding a handgun. After multiple orders to drop the
firearm, the suspect raised the firearm pointing it at the Deputy at which point the Deputy discharged his
service pistol at the suspect. The suspect then began walking around a vehicle at the location and as he was
doing so, pointed his firearm at the Deputy once again, at which point the Deputy fired his service weapon at
the suspect striking him multiple times. At which point he collapsed and the Deputy along with additional
responding units began to provide medical aid to the suspect. The suspect was transported to the hospital
where he was pronounced deceased.
