Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters)
Summary:
On September 18, 2025, Officers responded to Frisco Commons Park at 8000 McKinney Rd, Frisco, Collin
County, Texas, on a Welfare Concern Call. Officers were informed that a white male, later identified as,
LOGAN HOLLIDAY, was bleeding out on a trail at an unknown location from a potential suicide attempt.
HOLLIDAY was eventually located on a trail in the northwest corner of the park. An officer attempted to
contact and speak with HOLLIDAY, who ignored the officer and started walking through the park. There were
other bystanders walking the trails of the park. The officer observed HOLLIDAY had a knife in his hand and
HOLLIDAY ignored repeated commands to drop the knife. Numerous officers responded to the scene to
attempt to establish a perimeter. HOLLIDAY held the knife to his throat at one point. HOLLIDAY ignored all
officers' commands to drop the knife and refused to engage with officers who attempted to talk with him.
Officers followed HOLLIDAY while continuously attempting to establish verbal communication with him when
he turned and aggressively advanced toward the officers with the knife displayed. Officers gave verbal
commands to drop the weapon and HOLLIDAY refused and continued to advance toward officers. An officer
attempted to stop HOLLIDAY by using a 40mm Less Lethal Impact Weapon, but was unsuccessful.
HOLLIDAY continued to advance toward officers and the officers discharged their weapons at HOLLIDAY.
HOLLIDAY succumbed to his injuries at THR Plano Hospital. An autopsy will be performed on HOLLIDAY by
