Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On Friday, January 4, 2019, at approximately 1632 hours Houston Police Officers were dispatched to a shooting just occurred at 213 W. 44th Street. Officers arrived to find three persons had been shot by one suspect. Officers immediately began to search for the suspect and shortly after an officer was flagged down by the suspect's father who then pointed the officer in the direction of the suspect. The officer located a male that appeared to match the description of the suspect and found he was struggling with an unknown female between two residences. The officer gave verbal commands for both parties to get down on the ground. The female separated herself from the male and began to scream. The male now facing the officer was holding a silver pistol in both hands, in front o his stomach. The officer gave the suspect several verbal commands to get on the ground to which he did not comply and was now switching the pistol between hands. In fear of his life, the officer fired three times, striking the suspect once. As the officer approached the suspect, he was laying on the ground on his back with a silver pistol on the right side of his body. The pistol was secured and officers began to administer first aid. The suspect died at the scene. No officers were injured during this incident.
