Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On May 26, 2022, departmental officers in special response teams executed a search and arrest warrant for Larry Leon Wolfenbarger at 671 Bayer Ranch Lane, Muenster, in Cooke County. Wolfenbarger was wanted for Aggravated Kidnapping and Sexual Assault. Officers surrounded the residence and ordered Wolfenbarger out of the home. Wolfenbarger's brother exited the home and was detained. The brother told officers that Wolfenbarger was inside the residence and there was a weapon inside. Officers continued to give instructions for Wolfenbarger to exit the residence, but Wolfenbarger refused. At approximately 5:26 AM, officers deployed gas to get him to comply. Wolfenbarger exited the structure with a pistol in his hand, presenting himself as a threat to officers. In response, an officer discharged his weapon, striking Wolfenbarger.
