disturbance with shots fired. Officer Tanner Garcia with the Snyder Police Department responded along with
other officers. When Officer Garcia arrived he observed a female with a rifle and a male with a pistol standing

their weapons. The female dropped the rifle, but the male refused and turned toward the officer and
discharged a firearm at him. The officer returned fire and the suspect ran around the front of the truck and
again discharged the weapon at Officer Garcia. By this time Deputy Juan Rodriguez with the Scurry County
Sheriffs Office arrived to assist Officer Garcia. Officer Garcia and Deputy Rodriguez both discharged their
duty weapons at the suspect. The Suspect was hit and fell to the ground where officers provided medical
