Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Custodial Death Report :: Page 6 of 7 --- PAGE BREAK --- Summary: On 8-8-2026 (approximately 9:33am) our deputies were dispatched to a stabbing that had occurred on CR 3103 in New Boston TX. The victim had been stabbed in the face, head, and back. She ran to a neighbors home and was pursued by the suspect, later dentified as Kenneth Eugene Jordan w/m 8-8-1978. The homeowner of 5612 US Hwy 82 armed himself and confronted Jordan, holding him at gunpoint until law enforcement arrived. Law enforcment response included Bowie County Sheriff's Office deputies, New Boston Police Department officers, a Hooks Police Department officer, and Texas DPS troopers. Attempts to gain compliance from Kenneth Jordan were unsuccesful. Armed with a knife, he refused orders to surrender, disarm, or comply. He was tased mutliple times, a JPX pepper ball was deployed and verbal commands continued. He would not surrender his weapon or comply with commands. During an attempt to subdue him, he raised the knife towards law enforcement (including a police k9). He was subsequently shot by one of the officers on scene. Life saving efforts were unssuccseful and he was pronounced dead at 10:18am. Texas Ranger Joshua Mason responded to assist in investigating the officer involved shooting while we (BCSO) investigated the 2 counts of Aggravated Assault committed by Jordan prior to our arrival. Justice of the Peace Catie Hawkins ordered the atopsy of Kenneth Eugene Jordan and he was transported to the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences at Dallas.
