Summary:
Incident Overview
On Thursday, June 5, 2025, at approximately 3:05 PM, an officer-involved shooting occurred at 3501 Doris
Stinson Road, Alvin, Texas, a privately maintained dirt road. The Brazoria County Constable’s Office, Precinct
1, initially responded to this location in relation to a civil eviction service. During the preliminary background
investigation on the listed subject, it was discovered that she had an active felony warrant for Deadly

Conduct. Due to safety concerns associated with the warrant, the serving deputy requested alternate service
and raised welfare concerns based on the property’s conditions. The residence appeared significantly
overgrown and uninhabitable, prompting a more cautious approach.
Welfare Check and Escalation to Criminal Investigation
The Alvin Police Department was contacted to provide drone support to evaluate the area from above, both to
assist with the welfare check and enhance officer safety. During the aerial observation, what appeared to be
large marijuana plants were detected on the property. At this point, the nature of the call shifted from
civil/welfare to criminal in scope. The Brazoria County District Attorney’s Office was contacted, briefed on the
situation, and a narcotic search warrant was obtained for the premises.
Search Warrant Execution and Use of Force
Deputies from Precincts 2 and 4, along with District Attorney Investigators, were mobilized to assist with the
execution of the narcotics warrant as well as the already on file Deadly Conduct Felony Warrant. During the
lawful entry and execution of the warrants, the subject of the investigation emerged and pointed a firearm at
one of the deputies. In response to this perceived deadly threat, a deputy discharged their weapon, resulting
in the subject being struck. Deputies immediately began to render first aid, while EMS was notified. Upon
arrival of Alvin EMS, the subject was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced deceased. This
medical facility was located in Harris County, by this the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office took control
over the deceased and performed the autopsy.
