Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On 09/11/2023 at approximately 1648 hours, El Paso Police Officers from the Pebble Hills Regional Command were dispatched to 2616 Schooner, in reference to a subject with a weapon. Reporting party advised communications of a domestic disturbance that she witnessed, involving a knife. As Officers arrived they heard VI-01 distressed inside of the residence, pleading for help. Officers attempted to communicate with OF-01 who refused to comply, and further threatened VI-01's life. Officers made entry into the residence and observed VI-01 being held at knife point, and the Officer ultimately was forced to discharge his weapon, striking OF-01 multiple times. VI-01 was transported to the hospital by FMS for her injuries. OF-01 was also transported by FMS to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
