Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On Tuesday, January 05, 2020, Northeast Crime Suppression Team (CST) were conducting an investigation on a robbery crew that they located at 16510 North Freeway (Motel). Northeast CST Officers drove to the back of the motel and observed the Dodge Charger involved in the aggravated robberies. The officers initiated a vehicle containment technique to apprehend the suspects. Officer Frederick opened the passenger door of his unmarked vehicle and pointed his assigned carbine rifle toward the suspect. The passenger took off running and other officers pursued the suspect. Officer Fredrick observed the suspect reaching into his waistband to retrieve a handgun and then discharged his carbine rifle at the suspect. Suspect Jose Marcelino Guzman, DOB 02/07/1993 was deceased at scene with one gunshot wound. No other officers discharged their weapon.
