Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On April 26,2025 Detention Officer Michael Brink and Deandre Edmundson were conducting a security check. When they arrived at cell D-14 they found Mr. John Dent hanging from the cell door. Life saving measures began including CPR. 911 was called and medical care was turned over to EMS personnel. Mr. Dent was transported to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center via EMS. At 0240 hours Mr. Dent was pronounced deceased and notification was made to the Texas Rangers for investigative purposes.
