On February 23, 2018, @ approx. 1136 hours, Health Services ordered an off-site CAT Scan be conducted on Inmate Garza. Subsequent Hematoma diagnosed. On February 23, 2018, @ approx. 1255 hours, Inmate Offense Report 2018-9712 JA09 generated by staff reflects Health Services staff determined Inmate Garza should be transported to Ben Taub Hospital by ambulance. On February 25, 2018, Inmate Garza returned from Ben Taub Hospital. At approx. 1740 hours, due to Garza’s worsened medical condition, Medical staff ordered Inmate Garza returned to Ben Taub Hospital. On February 28, 2018, @ approx. 1320 hours, Inmate Garza was officially released from Harris County Sheriff’s Office custody. On March 2, 2018, Inmate Garza was pronounced deceased by Dr. M.
