Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On 02/24/2017 a confederate of Jacqueline Johnson was taken into custody on a burglary warrant at a residence in Angleton, Texas, and a large amount of property recovered. Johnson was also wanted on a burglary warrant and was thought to be at the residence, but was not. Johnson was located in a parking area on FM 428 in Angleton, Texas in a 2012 Toyota Camry. When she observed officers approaching, she drove at their vehicle, narrowly missing one officer and the vehicle itself. The suspect continued to flee and several times pointed or displayed a black semi-automatic handgun at officers. Johnson refused to exit the vehicle after numerous requests. There were a number of pedestrians and residents in her line of fire, and a tactical team moved forward to take her into custody. She fired at them, and they returned fire. She was removed from the vehicle and medical assistance rendered within few moments. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
