Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On Wednesday, October 23, 2024. members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force ( GCVOFTF) executed a warrant at 13102 Luthe Road on Suspect Ivan Gutierrez for an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Assault-Family Member. Once they arrived , a perimeter was established around the residence, and an entry team made entry from an unlocked door. With sirens in the background, officers announced their presence and advised the suspect in English and Spanish that they had a warrant for his arrest and to come out the residence. The suspect yelled, "I am not going out like this, bro," several times. The suspect, from inside a room of the trailer, racked a round into a shotgun and discharged his weapon once through the floor. Officers deployed OC gas in an attempt to gain the compliance of the suspect. The suspect, then came out of the room with a shotgun in hand and was subsequently shot by law enforcement. Suspect Guiterrez was pronounced deceased by Harris County EMS. No Officers were injured during the warrant execution.
