Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On June 29, 2024, at approximately 0240 hours, a deputy observed a silver, 2-door, mustang taking over the intersection of Ella Blvd and W. Richey Rd while doing donuts in the middle of the intersection. The deputy turned on his lights and the vehicle immediately fled at a high rate of speed. The deputy turned around, in an attempt to stop the driver but the vehicle was already nearly out of view. The deputy attempted to follow the vehicles taillights for about 9 seconds but he was unable to keep up with the vehicle's speed and quickly lost visual. The deputy continues on the roadway for approximately 23 additional seconds when he rolls up on the vehicle, which appeared to have lost control and struck a tree, causing 2 individuals to be ejected and 2 remained inside of the vehicle. Both individuals who were ejected as well as one inside of the vehicle were declared deceased on scene. The fourth was transported to a local hospital in Critical Condition.
