Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: on 7/15/26 a 911 call came in to dispatch of a female being shot in the head. The suspect, identified as the victim's estranged boyfriend, fled the scene in a black Lincoln Navigator. Responding deputies spotted the vehicle and suspect and innated a suspicious vehicle stop. Although the suspect pulled over, he did not comply with commands. Deputies could see that the suspects head was covered in blood. Finding the vehicle doors locked, DPS breached a window and discovered the suspect inside with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The deputies could not find a pulse on the suspect. when they moved the suspect to the ground the suspect he made a grunting sound. Deputies administered first aid. He was transported by Medic 13 to the hospital, where he died a short time later. The female victim was shot in the chest and head at the scene 375 maple drive. Deputies administered CPR and were able to restore a pulse. Medic 23 transported her to the hospital, but she later succumbed to her injuries.
