Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: Officer was conducting security checks on the cell and noticed Inmate Jaso on the toilet. About ten minutes later she came by to hand out mail, at that point she notoced Inmate Jaso's hand on the floor by the toilet. She started to call his name and when he did not respond she called a code one (medical Emergency). The team made entry and found Inmate Jaso unresponsive. Medical Staff (Simone Harris) checked for a pulse and found a weak thready pulse. The team opened his airway and moved him to the floor. Once on the floor medical again checked his pulse and found no pulse. CPR was started and AED applied. AED did not recommend shock so CPR was continued until EMS arrived. EMS took over scene and then transported Inmate Jaso to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin Texas. Inmate Jaso was pronounced deceased at 20:59 hours on 6-24-2017.
