Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On August 13, 2026, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Inmate Polk was observed in the dayroom being supported by another inmate near a table. Inmate Polk appeared to be shaking and foaming at the mouth, consistent with possible seizure activity. Jail medical personnel responded at approximately 6:22 p.m., were unable to detect a pulse, and initiated CPR and use of an AED. Sherman EMS arrived at approximately 6:32 p.m. and assumed lifesaving measures. Inmate Polk was transported to Sherman Medical Center, arriving at approximately 6:48 p.m. Judge Hampton pronounced Inmate Polk deceased at 7:06 p.m. Custodial Death Report :: Page 6 of 6
