Officer asked Mr. Garcia to stand for a pat-down frisk. Mr. Garcia stood and immediately began to run from the officer. A short foot chase ensued. During the foot chase, Mr. Garcia pulled a handgun from his waistband and shot himself in the head. The incident was all captured on the officers body camera video.
