Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters)
Summary:
Houston Police Officers were dispatched to a suspicious person with a weapon call for service at 5829
Hartwick Rd. on October 5, 2025. The call slip reported that the decedent was armed with a rifle and had
discharged it at least one time in the air.
When officers arrived, the decedent was seen standing on top of a vehicle, armed with a rifle. Officers issued
multiple verbal commands for the decedent to drop his weapon. The decedent failed to comply with these
commands and then positioned himself with the rifle pointed towards the officers. In response, two Houston
Police officers discharged their weapons, striking the decedent multiple times.
The Houston Fire Department (HFD), ambulance number 056, arrived on scene, and medical personnel from
HFD pronounced the decedent at 0827 hours. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences was notified
on this incident. Dr. Roger Milton from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences conducted an autopsy
of the decedent and ruled this death as a homicide due to multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
