Summary:
On July 28, 2019, Complainant Dauny Sosa Chamiso also known as Chamizo Sosa was a patron at
Michael's International strip club located at 6440 Southwest Freeway, Houston, Harris County, Texas. Six
managers from the club confronted Mr. Chamiso and told him to leave the premises because he was
intoxicated. Mr. Chamiso attempted to hit one of the managers and a security guard. All six managers

wrestled Mr. Chamiso to the ground. While attempting to restrain Mr. Chamiso one of the managers
positioned himself on Mr. Chamiso;s left side, wrapped his right arm around his neck, and performed a "Rear
Naked Choke", and he gasped for air until he went unconscious. Two other managers kneeled on Mr.
Chamiso's back pinning him to the ground. Another manager held his arm to ground while he was being
choked to keep him from moving until he was unconscious. Mr. Chamiso regained consciousness and was
choked again by another manager until he went limp and lost consciousness a second time. Mr. Chamiso
defecated on himself and stopped breathing while being held down. Once Houston Police Department
Officers arrived on the scene witnesses told them that Mr. Chamiso was combative and very strong so
officers handcuffed Mr. Chamiso. Officers attempted to sit Mr. Chamiso up and he was not responsive.
Officers rubbed Mr. Chamiso's sternum and he was still unresponsive. Officers were not able to get a pulse.
Officers immediately removed the handcuffs and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) until the
Houston Fire Department ( HFD) arrive on scene.
HFD 28 transported Mr. Chamiso to Southwest Memorial Hermann Hospital where his heart started beating
but he never regained the ability to breathe on his own, and placed on a ventilator. On July 30, 2019, he was
pronounced deceased at 1330 hours by Dr. Robert Brown..
