Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On May 8, 2024, Private investigators employed by Set'em Free Bail Bond company were serving a felony warrant issued on 05/01/2024 from District Court #486 for failure to appear on a Felony Murder Charge. The suspect's warrant was served at 254 Mississippi Street. Private Investigators confirmed through neighbors that the suspect was inside the residence. While surrounding the home, they saw the suspect outside the residence, and he ran back into his house. After obtaining permission from the homeowner to enter the residence, they began to search inside the residence for the suspect. Investigators found a locked bedroom door, and as they attempted to gain entry to the bedroom, they heard a single gunshot from inside the bedroom. Not sure if the shot was directed toward them, they immediately exited the home and contacted the Houston Police Department. Houston officers arrived and were able to see through a window that the suspect was lying on the ground injured. Houston officers entered the home and contacted the Houston Fire Department. The suspect was transported to Ben Taub Hospital was pronounced deceased on May 12, 2024, at 1805 hours. Custodial Death Report :: Page 6 of 6
