Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On July 23, 2020, Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies assisted Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies and Tomball Police Department officers in serving two felony warrants on the decedent. Upon arrival at the decedent's residence, the decedent discharged weapons at on scene officers. SWAT personnel was contacted and arrived on scene. Negotiations were unsuccessful, and the decedent set the residence on fire. Fire department personnel extinguished the fire and SWAT members entered the residence. The decedent was located inside the residence with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. An autopsy was performed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to determine the manner and cause of death. Custodial Death Report :: Page 6 of 6
