Deputies arrived on scene and attempted to speak to the decedent. The decedent refused to comply and refused deputy commands. The decedent struggled with deputies, Tasers were deployed, and EMS (Emergency Medical Services) was dispatched. The decedent was handcuffed and fell into an unconscious state. Deputies initiated CPR, EMS paramedics arrived and assumed medical care. The decedent was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased by a doctor. The decedent's girlfriend advised the decedent had ingested crystal methamphetamine two days prior and had smoked synthetic marijuana before deputies arrived.
