Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: Shortly before 4pm on August 9th, 2021, GCSO deputies were advised by dispatch of a suspect vehicle involved in an Aggravated Kidnapping in Travis County. Vehicle description was given and GCSO deputies along with two deputy constables located vehicle on I10 near Hwy 46. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle which refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated reaching speeds of 100 mph. With the assistance of Onstar they were able to reduce the vehicle speed to approximately 5 mph. Deputies were finally able to stop vehicle near the FM2438 exit. The suspect immediately opened fire on the officers. Officers returned fire striking the Custodial Death Report :: Page 6 of 7 --- PAGE BREAK --- suspect.
