Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On 06/23/2020 at 05:11 am, a female called 911 from 1904 Pebblebrook Lane in Sherman, Texas. The female advised that her nephew had stabbed her father. Sherman Officers were dispatched and upon arrival, Custodial Death Report :: Page 6 of 7 --- PAGE BREAK --- heard a female screaming inside of 1904 Pebblebrook. Officers force entry and located a black male covered in blood and holding a knife. The black male was standing in the doorway of a bathroom with the door covering half of his body. Officers could hear a female screaming from inside of the bathroom. Officer began to communicate to male suspect; however, the male would not respond to the officers. After about two minutes of the officers telling the male to drop the knife and come out of the bathroom, the male shut the door and the female began to scream again. Two of the three officers fired two shots each at the male as he was closing the door, fearing the male would continue his assault on the person inside of the bathroom. Officers made partial entry into the bathroom and observed the male actively stabbing a 15 year old female with the large knife. the third officer, who was the first through the bathroom door, shot the male and killed him. Officers located the female's father inside of the bathroom, with multiple stab wounds. Sherman Fire medical attempted life saving treatment; however, they were not able to save the father.
