From the medical examiner's report:
"CONCLUSIONS:
After review of law enforcement records and videos, medical records, autopsy, and toxicology, we are of the
opinion that Chad Faltesek, a 36-year-old male, died as the result methamphetamine toxicity while
experiencing struggle during apprehension by law enforcement with co-morbidities of hypertensive heart
disease, chronic liver disease, and morbid obesity contributing. Unresponsiveness occurred during struggle
with law enforcement.
Hospital blood from admission was not available for forensic toxicology. Urine drug screen done at hospital
admission November 8, 2022 was positive for amphetamines and THC. Admission hospital blood was
negative for ethanol. Autopsy blood of November 15, 2022 revealed the presence of methamphetamine, its
metabolite amphetamine, buprenorphine with its metabolite norbuprenorphine, and desmethylsertraline, the
major metabolite of sertraline. These substances were present in blood at the onset of unresponsiveness
November 8, 2022. It is unclear if active THC was also present as only its metabolite may have been present
in the urine with the blood THC at death representing postmortem redistribution. Other drugs present in
autopsy blood were administered as hospital treatment after unresponsiveness.

Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters)
Summary:
The individual was at a hospital after reporting to staff that he had consumed methamphetamine. He began to
exhibit signs of paranoia and acting in a manner that the officer detertmined posed a risk to himself. The
individual fled the hospital running into traffic and still exhibiting signs of paranoia. Upon arrival of additional
police officers, officers attempted to handcuff the individual, who resisted their efforts. The officers were
eventually able to take the individual into custody. While taking him into custody they discovered that he was
no longer breathing. Officers began CPR and requested EMS to respond. The individual was transported to
the hospital where he died several days later. The cause of the individual's death is unknown at this time.
