Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On 07/24/2024, a Killeen Police Department (KPD) officer observed a traffic violation in the 3800 block of Elms Road. The KPD officer attempted to make a traffic stop on the violator when they evaded the officer in their vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was later identified as Carlos Joseph Christian. Carlos Joseph Christian continued to flee from the KPD officer and was traveling eastbound in the 5900 block of Stagecoach Road. Carlos Joseph Chrisitan's vehicle abruptly left the roadway and crashed in the backyard of a local residence. KPD officers approached the vehicle and discovered that Carlos Joseph Christian had a gunshot wound to his head that appeared to be self-inflicted, as he was the only occupant of the vehicle.
