Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On March 27, 2019 at approx. 1:40a.m.; Burnet PD responded to the 300blk of South McNeil within the City Limits of Burnet, Tx in reference to a loud music complaint. Officer arrived and observed a vehicle starting to back up from a parked position in front of a residence. Officer gave commands to stop, said vehicle placed vehicle in drive and started to drive forward at a very low rate of speed. Officer felt that the vehicle was coming towards him, and started giving verbal commands to stop, the vehicle continued to drive forward. Officer felt he was in danger and shot his duty weapon Three times into the windshield of said vehicle, striking the driver Three times in the chest area. The driver was pronounced at the scene, and later transported to the Travis County ME's Office in Austin Texas. The Texas Rangers were called to the scene and will be conducting an investigation.
