On 10/03/2024 at 1210 hours, officers responded to 2416 S. 13th Street #1014 on a call of a psychiatric
person. Dispatch relayed there was a person on the scene who was in the apartment tearing it up. The caller,
Richard William Sachek, confirmed that it had been physical, and he needed officers. Sachek said that the

person, Billy Michael Gordon, was in the apartment consuming anything he could get his hands on. Sachek
attempted to remove Gordon physically but was unable to do so due to Gordon’s size and strength. When he
could not remove him, he went into the hall and called the police.
Upon arrival, two officers entered the apartment and tried to stop Gordon from destroying the house. Officers
tried to reason with Gordon, but he would not listen or comply with the officer’s commands. He could be seen
on Axon video acting erratically, talking incoherently, and consuming everything he could get his hands on.
He was initially in the refrigerator but then started grabbing various items under the sink and was erratically
drinking them. There were taser deployments by officers as they attempted to stop him. They then tried to get
him into handcuffs and eventually were successful. Gordon went unresponsive after being handcuffed.
Officers attempted lifesaving efforts which consisted of CPR, AED, and Narcan. They continued this till EMS
arrived and took over. These life-saving efforts were unsuccessful.
