Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: On January 9, 2023 at approximately 11:17 PM, the Sanger Police Department was dispatched to the 3000 block of Lake Ridge Drive in Sanger for a welfare check and possible domestic disturbance involving a male suspect with a weapon. The Sanger Police Department requested assistance from the Denton County Sheriff’s Office. When the Sanger Police Officer contacted the armed male suspect, a struggle ensued and the male suspect was shot by a Denton County Sheriff’s Office Deputy.
