Under Restraint: No Summary of Incident Summary of How the Death Occurred: (max. 30,000 characters) Summary: The vehicle operated by the decedent was observed traveling south bound on the 7000 block of North Beltway West. The vehicle was observed to be traveling a speed greater than the posted speed limit and confirmed by moving radar as speeding. The driver of the vehicle was also observed failing to operate the vehicle within a single lane of travel. An attempt to complete a traffic stop on the vehicle was made. An attempt to stop the decedent for the observed traffic violations was made in the 10900 block of West Beltway 8 North. The decedent then exited the main lanes of the toll way onto the service roads still slowing as if the vehicle was going to pull into a parking lot. The driver (decedent) then accelerated and began evading while traveling south on the Beltway 8 service road. The driver (decedent) continued to evade at a high rate of speed south bound causing the deputy to lose his visual observation of the vehicle. The vehicle was then located crashed at the intersection of Beltway 8 and US 290 service road. The vehicle struck a fixed object (street light pole) causing extensive damage. The driver (decedent) was confirmed deceased at the scene of the motor vehicle crash by emergency medical personnel who responded to the scene.
